Velda A. Eugenias, CFP®
Founder and CEO

Velda has been in the financial services field her entire career with the last 18 years concentrated in financial planning and investments. Before starting the firm, Velda was co-owner in a financial planning firm for five years. She gained a lot of experience while employed nine years at a national bank as an investment officer. She earned her CFP® designation in 2000 and previously held the NASD series 6, 63 and 7 along with having an insurance license and a real estate license for many years. She is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and has recently completed a three year term of service on the Regional and National Boards. She is a NAPFA Registered Advisor and is required to get 60 hours of continuing education every two years as part of NAPFA’s requirement which is double the amount required by the CFP® board of standards. During the last two years Velda has logged over 150 hours of continuing education.

In addition to her membership with NAPFA, Velda belongs to Rotary International, The Gadsden Chamber of Commerce, First Friday Forum, and Women Executive Networking.  She is Co-Chair of the Leading Edge Institute for the Northeast Alabama area. This organization helps to develop the future ‘female’ leaders of Alabama. She became affiliated with the Financial Planning Association (FPA) in 1999 and was Membership chair while serving on the Board of Directors. Velda is a graduate of the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado and holds a BS in Human and Environmental Sciences from the University of Alabama.

Velda has served for several years as a volunteer for Kiplinger Magazine on their ‘Jump Start Your Retirement’ series. She has been quoted in several magazines and has been a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Alabama on financial planning topics. She is a frequent speaker for many civic clubs and has conducted many workshops over her career on the subject of financial planning.

Velda believes that ‘the devil is in the detail’ and in the financial services industry you can not be ‘too careful’. She is dedicated to education and believes that staying abreast of new laws, regulations and rules is the backbone of what enables an advisor to meet a client’s needs.
